Bio Page Scan of a Passport
- Submit a high-quality, coloured scan of your passport’s bio page.
- The page must not have any folds, marks, creases, or cuts.
- It must show all the key details clearly, including:
- Photograph
- Full Name
- Nationality
- Date of Birth
- Passport Number
- MRZ (present at the bottom of the page)
Photograph of the Applicant
- The digital photo must be recent, clear and coloured.
- The photo should reflect your current appearance
- Your face must face the camera directly, with both eyes open.
- You should not wear spectacles, a mask or a head covering (except for religious reasons)
- It should be free from edits, filters, shadows or glare
Travel Itinerary and Round-Trip Tickets
- Provide a clear scan of a round-trip booking confirmation.
- No detail should be obscured
The ticket must clearly show details, including:
- Passenger's name and ticket number
- Arrival and departure dates
Proof of financial means/legal means of living
- Submit a legible scan of a recent bank statement
- Should preferably be from the last 3 months.
- Must show a consistent, legal and adequate balance in your account to support your stay in Ecuador.
Criminal Record/ Police Clearance
- Submit a scanned copy of a criminal record certificate, also known as a police clearance.
- This document is needed only for applicants over 18 years of age.
- It is used as part of the applicant’s background check.
- Details such as full name, identification number, and criminal record status must be clearly visible.
Additional Documents Required for Temporary Visitor Trade Acts & Other Activities
Proof of registration or invitation from the host
Applicants must provide any one of the following documents:
- A formal document confirming your registration in the relevant event
- A letter of invitation issued by the host.
The invitation letter should relate to the following activities:
- Event
- Seminar
- Workshop
- Training
- Competition
- International Conference
Sponsor Contact Details Document for Verification of the Inviting Host
- A formal document providing the contact details of the sponsor
- The details should enable authorities to verify the invitation's authenticity and the invitor's identity.
The document must clearly show details, including:
- Event Name
- Date and Venue
- Name of the Organisation
- Address
